I think a whole group book study is a great idea. Our curriculum director does book studies with faculty that wish to participate each spring. She picks a book and distributes them and faculty meets one day a week after school and discusses and does group projects. It counts for some of our required summer inservice hours. I think it is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteBrenda, Great action plan! Very well thought out and detailed. I really liked how one of your objectives focuses on staff morale. I believe this is crucial in order for us to have a better year and improve upon our achievement.
ReplyDeleteSo very organized and detailed. No wonder I thoroughly enjoy your comments and suggestions. Jamie is right, a book study is a great idea. Consensus-building from all involved seems to be crucial within the details of your plan. I am interested to know how you will deal with a teacher that is less than enthusiastic about working as hard as you are. What does it do to the research? I can tell you are a high-energy person and likes to get the job accomplished. Unfortunately, many of our teachers don't share that work ethic. Just a question. Great post!
